Karin Mitchell is a full-time writer living in a small town on the outskirts of the Kruger National Park in South Africa. After spending 5 years in major national newsrooms as a journalist, Karin decided to trade the bustle of the city for the peace that comes from living in a remote area surrounded by nature. Her second book The Rhino Crash will be released on 21 July 2020, being a co-authored project with her friend Nick Newman who monitored endangered black rhinos for several years.

Her first book South Africa’s High Treason Club was published in August 2019 by Mcfarland. The book chronicles the “Boeremag” trial, where 23 men stood accused of conspiring to overthrow the ANC government. It is the first full narrative covering the layered stories of the mammoth trial.

She has future book projects in the pipeline and is always open to queries from anyone looking for a ghostwriter, co-author, editing, proofreading or advice.
